The Academy of Qualitative Research is a multidisciplinary society that actively engages in academic exchanges with qualitative researchers in various academic fields, including nursing, public health, sociology, social welfare, psychology, education, art therapy, North Korean studies, and philosophy.

Since taking its first steps as the Korean Qualitative Research Association in 1998, The Academy of Qualitative Research has contributed to the expansion of knowledge and the academic development of qualitative research through the journal (Qualitative Research), which was launched in 2000.

we continuously progress the work by inviting renowned qualitative researchers abroad to hold academic conferences and workshops, introducing various qualitative research methodologies, and suggesting new directions for the development of qualitative research according to changes of the era. In addition, to strengthen the expertise of researchers, we publish and translate books. We operate academic research support projects and educational programs.

The Academy of Qualitative Research will continue to expand the depth and scope of qualitative research through a multidisciplinary approach, share hidden gems, and support more researchers to explore human and social phenomena more richly.
