Ethical Regulation
Research Ethics Regulations
The Academy of Qualitative Research requires that all studies involving human participants be conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Researchers must fully inform participants of the study’s purpose, as well as any potential mental or physical risks that may arise from their participation. Written informed consent must be obtained from all participants. It is also strongly recommended that studies undergo a review and approval by an Institutional Review Board (IRB). The Editor may, when necessary, request the submission of written consent forms and IRB approval letters.
Manuscripts found to involve any type of misconduct will not be published, and the Editorial Committee will determine the appropriate measures. The following conditions constitute misconduct:
1) Fabrication: Creating, recording, or reporting data or research results that do not exist.
2) Falsification: Manipulating research materials, equipment, or processes, or altering or omitting data or results such that the research record does not accurately reflect the truth.
3) Plagiarism: Appropriating the ideas, processes, results, or records of others without the proper authorization or acknowledgment.
4) Improper Authorship: Including individuals as authors who did not make a significant scientific or technical contribution, or excluding those who did, without justifiable reason.
Duplicate Publication and Submission Policy
The submission or publication of duplicate manuscripts is strictly prohibited. Manuscripts that have been published in or submitted to another journal may not be submitted to this journal, and manuscripts published in or submitted to this journal may not be published elsewhere.
If overlapping or duplicate publication is discovered, the authors will be prohibited from submitting to this journal for two years.
1) Duplicate publication refers to manuscripts that have been published in whole or in part, in any language, whether in print or electronic form, or indexed in a registered journal.
2) If authors wish to republish a manuscript from this journal in another language, prior approval must be obtained from the Editor-in-Chief.
3) The Editorial Committee will review reported cases and make a final decision on whether the work constitutes duplicate publication.
Enforcement
If violations of these ethical regulations are identified, the Editorial Committee will determine the appropriate corrective actions.
