초록 |
Purpose: This study aimed to explore how community residents experiencing loneliness perceive the content and meaning of Social Action Art Therapy. Methods: A phenomenological case study approach was employed, recruiting seven community residents from a specific area through purposive sampling. Data were collected via participant interviews, artworks, reflective journals, and the researcher's response artworks. Individual case analyses were conducted, followed by a cross-case analysis using a phenomenological analytic approach. Results: The findings from individual case analyses highlighted the unique aspects of participants' experiences with Social Action Art Therapy, set against broader social structures and sociocultural conditions. These experiences were further contextualized by significant life transitions, including relocation, the COVID-19 pandemic, retirement, and changes in family structure. A cross-case synthesis revealed three common themes: an experience of inner recovery that transforms loneliness, behavioral experiences toward intersubjective relating, and practical experiences that foster social participation. Conclusion: These findings suggest that Social Action Art Therapy can aid individuals experiencing loneliness in exploring new social roles within their communities, highlighting its potential to shift from homogeneity-oriented communities to more diversity-inclusive environments. |
